How is our understanding of mobility changing? At the conference AutoDigital various experts from industry, science and politics met at Jacobs University Bremen: topics on the agenda included digitization, electrification and the new added value of the automobile, as well as the emissions scandal and autonomous driving. The specialist conference was hosted by the Weser-Kurier newspaper in cooperation with the private university.

Cem Özdemir, Chairman of the Bundestag Committee for Transport and Digital Infrastructure was one of the speaker’s at the AutoDigital conference.

The list of speakers included, among others, Cem Özdemir, Chairman of the Bundestag Committee for Transport and Digital Infrastructure and former Federal Chairman of the party Alliance 90/The Greens and Britta Seeger, Member of the Board of Management of Daimler AG/Mercedes Benz Cars.
Other speakers included Prof. Dr. Claudia Kemfert, Head of the Energy, Transport and Environment Department at the German Institute for Economic Research, and Dr. Kurt-Christian Scheel, Managing Director of the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA). Dr. Gerd-Volker Röschenthaler, Professor of Chemistry at Jacobs University and expert in lithium batteries, as well as Jacobs graduate Andrei Costea, Managing Director of T&S Engineering GmbH in Munich, also took the podium.

The experts discussed many topics regarding mobility, for example the emission scandal.

Bremen was represented politically by its Mayor Dr. Carsten Sieling and economics Senator Martin Günthner. Stefan Muhle, State Secretary in the Lower Saxony Ministry of Economics, Labor, Transport and Digitization also joined the discussion. Jens V. Dünnbier, Head of Campus Operations, welcomed the guests on Jacobs University’s campus.
The AutoDigital conference was held at Jacobs University for the third time. AutoDigital has quickly established itself as an important specialist conference at which various experts discuss current developments relating to the automobile and its future.
