The Challenge: About half of the patients in Germany do not remember what was actually said about their health after a consultation with doctors or other care takers. The so-called “spoken medicine” is a special challenge.
If done right, people with limited health competencies can be identified and be taken care of properly. Communication which meets the individual need levels of patients is the basis for a trustworthy partnership between patients and their respective care takers.
The Solution: Practice-oriented focus trainings by Constructor University support medical staff to enhance their personal abilities to act when communicating with patients and to gain new communication skills. With these skills, the health competencies of patients are strengthened and a sustainable patient treatment is achieved
As a result, health risks and longer treatment times are reduced and therefore treatment costs decreased. Patient centric communication is an important tool of modern clinic and quality management and a success factor for patient satisfaction. It also serves as a tool to increase motivation and satisfaction among staff.
