Campus Tours

The best way to get to know our university is to visit the beautiful campus, located a short train ride away from central Bremen. Open House

A day to discover our campus and get to know everything it has to offer. From Pre-Degree Programs to Bachelors and Masters, our annual Open House is the perfect opportunity to learn about our admission requirements, scholarships, financial aid, career options, and life on campus.

Summer Camps 2018

One week full of workshops ranging from renewable resources and physics to social sciences, intelligent data systems and nanotechnology, in which pre-college students between grade 10 and 13 will have the opportunity to participate in exciting discussions, experiments and outings along with like-minded people from all around the world. Along with the VDI, Verein Deutscher Ingenieure e.V., we offer a Summer Camp during the summer break (July/ August), with the objectives of inspiring young talents to study and raising awareness of global issues. Math Summer School 

The International Summer School for Students is an introduction to top-level mathematical research topics for highly selected international students at the age of transition between high school and university. Presentations and mini-courses will be given by international leading university mathematicians. Impressions from the last Summer School can be found here.

Medical Preparatory Year – Information Workshops

Getting into medical school in Germany and other European countries is often complicated. Our information workshops give an overview on admission criteria and individual university requirements in Germany and other European countries. It offers a brief insight into the individual university requirements and deadlines. If you are interested in studying medicine, this workshop will furthermore show you how the Medical Preparatory Year supports your way into medical school. Foundation Year - Orientation Workshops

Gap Year? Work & Travel or straight to University? Making the right decision on what to do after school can be tough.

Learn more about personal strength, study options and potential career paths in our regularly hosted orientation workshops. These workshops are usually held on our campus and in corporation with education counseling agencies which are specialized in advising students after obtaining their high school degree.

Jacobs University is happy to collaborate with the German initiative "MINT EC". Together we organize workshops in the natural sciences for high school students to encourage young talents to pursue a career in the natural sciences.

As a high school counselor, you play a vital role in maximizing your students’ success, first and foremost by providing valuable information during their college search process.  We know how important it is to start the orientation process early, which is why we want to make it as easy as possible for you to share the Jacobs experience with your students. We hope that below you can find all the information you need to encourage them to be ambitious, look beyond, and apply to our university.

Counselor Fly In

A weekend tailored especially for you! Not only will you get the chance of attending informational events about the courses, study requirements and exchange programs, but you will also meet professors who are eager to share insight on their everyday activities as scientists and teachers, as well as Jacobs University’s teaching concept. Additionally, you will get an impression of campus life through a campus tour, a discussion panel composed of current students, and as a student-led evening event. School Visits 

A great way to give your students the chance to learn about university options is to host a university representative at your school. "What is it like to study in Germany? What are the career options in Europe and Germany?" Questions we are happy to answer in a workshop or presentation for your students.
