Bremen Energy Research is a working group dealing with economic issues of energy policy. Focusing on applied research of energy supply, we address real-world problems with academic tools. Detailed information about BER is available at http://www.bremen-energy-research.de.
The successful candidate conducts research in the area of industrial economics of energy markets and will be involved in third-party-funded (national and international) research projects. More specifically, we expect the researcher to address questions in the context of market design, competition policy and network regulation related to the energy transition.
- a master’s degree in economics or a related discipline with outstanding grades
- a PhD in a relevant field is an advantage
- very good knowledge of applied economic methods
- excellent command of the English and German language
- experience in acquisition of third-party-funds is an advantage
