Take the chance to spend the summer at Jacobs University, improve your German language skills and meet people from all over the world.

The German Language Courses are divided in two consequent sequences (Part I & II).
The first sequence (German Language Course Part I) is taking place from August 4rd, 2020 to August 12th (arrival day, August 3rd, 2020).
The second sequence (Part II) is taking place August 13th, 2020 to August 22th, 2020 (arrival day, August 3rd, 2020).
Each sequence includes 8 intensive teaching days. After the completion of each sequence are taking place exams. After you passed the final exam, you will have achieved the next level.

For the 2020 Summer German Language Courses (intensive) we offer the following Levels:
A1. 1., A.1.2, A2.1.,A.2.2, B1.1., B.1.2, B2.1.(1), B.2.1.(2)

  • German Language Courses Part I:
    August 3 to August 12, 2020
    A1.1, A2.1, B1.1, B2.1 (1)
  • German Language Courses Part II:
    August 13 to August 22, 2020
    A1.2, A2.2, B1.2, B2.1 (2)

All courses we offer will be credited with 2,5 ECTS after you have passed successfully the level.

Do you already have previous knowledge in German language?
For participants who already have some knowledge in German language, we offer a placement test on August 4th, 2020, 9am. Through the placement test, you can indicate which is the class that you have to take in order to improve your German skills.

 

Who can participate in the German Language Courses?

The course is designed for everyone aged 15 + being eager to learn or improve the German Language.

Excursions and Social Activities

The German Language Course is also a great opportunity to broaden your horizons and get to know a new culture. Our supervisors organize guided excursions off-campus, that you have the chance to explore the beautiful, historic city of Bremen. There is plenty to do on campus as well! Play table tennis or pool, watch a movie with your friends, or take advantage of our sports facilities – football field, basketball, tennis and beach volleyball courts, gym, and more!

 

Accommodation on our Residential Campus

At Jacobs University, we are dedicated to make our campus and its residential colleges a comfortable and exciting ‘home away from home’: a place to live, to learn, to grow, and to have fun. You will live in a private bedroom with a shared bathroom in one of our four residential colleges on our beautiful and safe campus. The lecture halls and research laboratories are within close reach. All colleges have a student cafeteria where you will eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our international cuisine offers something for every taste.
