Career Perspectives

With its clear focus on the management of firms in international business activities, students acquire solid labor-market qualifications for careers in a broad range of businesses, especially international and internationalizing firms. In the last years, our graduates obtained internships and positions in a variety of leading companies, including Bosch, Deloitte or KPMG.

The IBA program has taken our graduates onto a rich diversity of career paths. The academic rigor of the program prepares students for highly ranked graduate programs, such as IE Madrid or University of Amsterdam.

Due to their experience working and living with students from more than 100 countries on Jacobs University’s international campus, IBA graduates are well prepared to take on responsibility in intercultural work environments. What is more, The Jacobs Career Services Center offers students, amongst others, an exclusive internship program, individual career counseling, professional skills seminars, an online job portal, and employer networking during on-campus recruiting events.

The strong community spirit impressed her most and at Jacobs Anna Ladyshenski found her path. When coming to Bremen the former student of Integrated Social Science planned to join politics. Now she is a team leader in an international recruiting agency.

This program gives you the chance to get familiar with much more than you initially expect, and if you let it, it will allow you to grow. You will have the chance the approach cases and problems critically, analytically and with a diverse perspective. All the way from famous cases, to day-to-day management strategies, to the technology-driven world we live in today. You will find yourself applying what you learn in this program, to your everyday life in ways that you couldn’t have before.

Today’s business world requires disciplinary knowledge from graduates as well as the ability to apply this knowledge. Career-related services at Jacobs University provide information, counseling and training, networks, and events. Jacobs University’s students participate in trainings on project management, business communication, job interview skills, and more. The JACOBS UNIVERSITY BREMEN ALUMNI ASSOCIATION E.V. was founded in 2004 by the first generation of graduates. Since then, around 4,500 students have obtained their degrees from Jacobs University.
