Gowtham Rajendran, who studies Supply Chain Engineering & Management at Jacobs University, is one of the winners of the 2017 BIC Scholarship award.
The scholarship program was launched in 2015 to support the container industry’s leaders of tomorrow and encourage continued focus on safety, security, standardization and sustainability in the intermodal container industry.
Candidates were judged on the basis of academic achievement, as well as an essay related to container safety, security, standardization or sustainability. Four awards were available for graduates. The “Bureau International des Containers et du Transport Intermodal” (BIC) was founded in 1933 as a neutral, non-profit international organization. It has over 2500 container-operating members in 120 countries.
