Our Fall 2020 semester starts with online classes on September 1. We do expect and encourage our students to arrive on campus as early as possible, starting from August 26th, to take advantage of the additional academic and social activities on our always-buzzing campus from that date already. Nevertheless, individual arrivals until October 26th will remain possible.

In any case, we have planned a series of online and on-site events that will introduce you to your academic program, academic advisors, faculty members, fellow students, residential college, campus life, and life off-campus.

Orientation Week is a beloved tradition here at Jacobs university where we welcome our new students to our campus and our community. This year some of our students won’t be able to join us as soon as we would all like because of COVID-19. In order for no one to miss out or be left behind we have created The Freshie Journey!

The Freshie Journey is designed to assist you, new students, to settle into university life from near and far. With the help of our peer counselors and GSA mentors, your transition will be informative, fun, and definitely unforgettable.

We are looking forward to seeing you on campus!

Schedule & Kick-off

The Freshie journey consists of a series of modules designed to prepare you to live, work and study with students from all over the world.

Every week we will release a new batch of content and hold a live web session for questions and discussions on what you’ve experienced.

It’s all about you! All the modules will remain online, available on demand even if you join late. All the web-sessions will be recorded and made available upon request.

Please bear in mind that you must complete all the modules in order to begin studying at Jacobs University.  Please also be aware that the only way to participate in the Freshie Journey is by submitting a scanned version of your signed study contract, either in German or in English version.

Please join us on Monday Aug 3rd at 11:00 am CET for the official live Kick-off! Check your emails for the link to the Kick off-session or log in to your VIP PAGE!

Schedules are subject to change. Please always download the latest schedule available.
